Forums are very useful in Internet marketing, but why did you hate forums so much before? I couldn’t help to ask myself. To be honest, I really hated forums before and I have never been active in a forum.

Until recently I thought that if I wanted to be a successful blogger, at least I had to join in a forum, discuss with people and get traffic to my blog. When I was in a forum, suddenly I started thinking about why I hated forums so much before.

Since the year 2002, I had my first personal computer with Internet connection, I already fell in love with the Internet. I almost did everything on the Internet, playing games, watching movies, listening pop songs,  shopping online, download stuffs, etc..

At that moment, I thought that Internet was the most perfect and beautiful thing that I had ever seen. when I was on the Internet, I felt really freedom and happiness. I felt I could do everything that I want on the Internet. I had so many great experience with Internet, but I really didn’t like forum very much.

Forum was already very hot in China at that moment. It wasn’t born in China, but it developed the best in China. Maybe that is because China has the largest population, maybe because Chinese love crowd, I don’t know, but it happened that way. But I didn’t buy it.

I accept that I am a very introverted person, usually I don’t like talking and crowd, I’d rather be alone, so that I could do something in my way. This make me feel great. When I see others are talking and laughing, I am jealous at all. Because I always believe that what I thinking and doing is much more worthier than talking and laughing with them, doing that is just a waste of life, that is killing me.

So I used to hate forum discussing too. I thought people in forums are just wasting their lives, it is not worth to spent tons of time there. I really can’t understand why they love that so much, just like men always like smoke, but I don’t buy it.

But today, for my blog when I joined in forums, and I really had a good time. I found that maybe I was wrong before. What I doing is just post one old post of my blog into three forums, and then see what happens. I was worried about nobody would notice me, but sooner many people were so happy to discuss with me. From what I see, they were really discuss with me, and they told me something that I didn’t know before, I really learned a lot. It was my first great experience in a forum.

Forums are very important and helpful in Internet marketing, whatever you own a site or blog,  a forum can definitely help you to get traffic to your site. That is why I decided to try it.

In fact, a forum is not just using to get more traffic, you could also get some very valuable information from it. Because many people are active in the forum, they like to share their experience, knowledge and help others to solve problems.

After this thing happened, I think that I won’t hate forums any more. I have got a good tool of marketing. From this thing, I learned a lot. The first step of everything always is very hard, but when you get over it, you may find that it is so easy to do, not hard at all.

I hope that you guys could also learn something from my experience, don’t be afraid to take the first step, even you hate it very much. A good start is half the battle, maybe you can’t make a good start, but if you don’t get started, how could you win the battle?
