This would be the first day of mini course “It Is Time To Start Making Money Blogging Online”- Installing Wordpress and Start Blogging.
Before we can get started and I can show you how to make money online, we need to sort the essentials out, that means we have to get you online! Today I will show you how to build your first blog, it is super easy!
1. First thing you need is a Domain
I am telling you that it is super important to choose a good domain, I often see long winded domains like, howtomakemoneyonline.com? Its really long, boring and has so many words you will spend so much time just typing the domain that you will give up.
Here’s what I do, I put a twist to my domains to make them more interesting, for example I could have Youngblogger.com instead of John21.com, but the name John21 is really catchy and something no one forgets, its even a speaking point for a lot of people. Its all about being creative and not trying to get every keyword under the sun in your domain. Another way you can come up with new domain names is by putting the benefit and your keyword in a domain.

For all my domain’s I use Name.com, but you could also use GoDaddy.com, it is the largest domain registrar in the world and that’s for a reason!
2. Hosting your Domain
The most important thing about running a Internet Business is that you have a reliable host, with out one you are wasting your time. I recommend to everyone always to use HostGator.com, it’s cheap, reliable and I have never heard a bad word said about them. If you do decide to go TRY find a better deal then please research who you are getting hosting with, the worst thing is to find your website goes offline and they don’t have a recent backup of your server.
3. Connecting your Domain and Host
To host your domain is really simple, login to you GoDaddy.com account and click Domains > My Domains and then click on your domain. Now click on the Nameservers Icon and change the custom nameservers to the ones HostGator would of emailed you, they would of been something like:
NS1.HostGator.com
NS2.HostGator.com
Once this is done, you will now be able to upload and install your blog!
4. Installing Your Blog
I will show you how to install Wordpress in about 30 seconds using Fantastico, not all hosts have Cpanel and Fantastico but if you are using HostGator like I recommended, they do!
So to start, go to YourDomain.com/cpanel and login with the admin details your host provided, scroll to the bottom and click Fantastico, now on the left hand side is a link to Wordpress, click that and click New Installation, fill in the form and then click Install Wordpress and you are done, now go to your domain and your blog will be installed. This way is super easy, I recommend that you do it this way.
5. Adding Posts To Your Blog
If you now go to your blog on the right hand side of your blog there will be a link called Login (yourdomain.com/wp-login.php), click that and now login with your username and password. You will be presented with the Wordpress Dashboard, on the left side you will have a link to Add New under Posts. Click this and you will be able to add your first blog post. Don’t worry if you are not familiar with Wordpress, it is not that hard for newbie to use, you just keep trying and soon you will understand everything.

First off I just want to say that you have a wonderful site. It contains some of the best information that I have read so far.
I am just starting out with my internet venture, and have found that you can get over whelmed very quickly. I started my venture in late June, bought a system and started following it. I bought in to this and bought in to that, and soon I was out of money and not making any thing in return. This all brings me to my question for you.
On day one of your mini course you said to get a domain name and some hosting. If I have a Wordpress Blog, (witch I do) is this still going to work, or do I still need to get a domain name and the hosting?

Well, first I want to thank you for your comment, I am sorry to hear your problems.
You asked me if you need a domain name and a hosting, right?
Well, it is good to use Wordpress.com, I have used Blogger.com too. But I recommend that you get a domain name and a hosting, that won’t cost you too much money, less than $100 per year. But, if you buy a hosting from a reseller, it will be very cheap, maybe less than $30 per year.
At the beginning, you could use Wordpress.com, but when you are a pro, I believe that you will move out of it, because you need more feature and freedom, you need to build your own brand, then a domain name and a hosting will be needed.

I do have another blog site. This goes back to what I said last time, about buying this and buying that. I now have one main site http://www.fasteasymoney-online.com Two Blogs http://www.fasteasymoney-online.com/blog http://www.mmartin63.wordpress.com and nine squidoo pages.
I have added your site to my wordpress blog so far and plan to add it to the others. You have some great information on your site, and I want to share it with all of the people that visit my sites.

Squidoo, what a cool name, I have no idea what it means, but I used it before. Squidoo likes so great, but the page loading here is too slow, so I don’t very like using it. Are you very popular on Squidoo?
I am not popular any were as of yet. That’s why I could use all the help that I can get. I think that I can sell my product but like you have said, “ no traffic, no money”. It is 9:21 in the morning here, I guess it is getting late for you. This is pretty cool to talk to you this far away.

Then, it means that you have never chated online? You mean you never use MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo Messenger etc.? It is unbelievable. I am a Chinese, I don’ t often use them, but at least I have a MSN ID and Yahoo ID, I like to chat with foreign friend when I was in college.
OK you got me on that one. Yes I have done these things before, but not for years now. I have a My Space. Do you have that there. I have just started all of these kind of things recently. What type of IM do you have? You say that this will help our site rankings.

Sorry no I did not. I have been a little out of commission for the last four days. I have moved from an Apartment to a small house, and have been tied up with that. Also do not have an internet connection at home as of yet. I have been using my computer at work, but there I have limited use. All of the chat, and social net working is blocked. I am supposed to get the inter net back at home today, then maybe we will be able to get together.
