And now let’s continue discussing on 13 tips to step by step successful blogging:

5) Track Your Blog

How could you know your blog starts getting traffic? Just because nobody leaves comments doesn’t mean that your blog isn’t growing every day. Not everybody will leave comments after reading your posts though they are very appreciate them. You know what I mean? There are many people don’t like to leave comment but it doesn’t mean that they don’t appreciate your hard working! They may read your posts every day but you don’t even notice. This why you need a web analytics tool to track your blog.

Tracking your blog is much easier now, have you heard of Google Analytics, it is completely free and powerful, to use Google Analytics is really simple, just copy and paste the tracking code into your blog template, and then it will start tracking your blog, don’t say that you don’t have a Google account. A Google account is very necessary to both site owners and bloggers.

Google Analytics isn’t in real time, which means you can’t see the result of tracking at once, you have to wait to the next day. But, it is free and powerful, it could tracking any information as well as other advanced analysis do. If you haven’t decide which one to use, I recommend that you use Google Analytics before you get a better one.

6) Listen to Your Audience

When you use the proper web analytics, you really should see how people find your blog and if through search engines which keywords they are using. Find out what is your hot topics and keywords, and write more around these, this may make your blog even more powerful. When writing posts, make sure you consider the SEO rules too, here are some good articles for you:

Don’t forget your goal is be to a successful blog, any chance is good that you have to catch it.

7) Short & Concise

Short and concise when posting is one of the most important rules of successful blogging. You may think that: I don’t think that the length of posts is so important, I write long posts because my story is very long, do you want me to stop it in half?

Oh NO NO NO! Definitely NOT! What I mean is try to make your posts are short and concise. Because people won’t have too much time to read your posts though the article is really great, in modern time, The rhythm of people’s life has become very fast, people fell in love with something fast, long article will make them get bored. If your story is very long, you could just cut it into several posts just like I do in 13 tips to step by step successful blogging, make it a series posts, that would be my suggestion.

When you are writing posts, you should also consider your readers feelings, try to make your blog more friendly to them, and they will most likely read your posts and wish to be your loyal followers. You see, you just got another key of becoming a successful blogger.

8 ) Multiple blogging

Using multiple blogs maybe seems not very necessary but really powerful. It could attract more people to all your blogs. It means that you could have blogs with Blogger.com, Wordpress.com and other BSP, or self host services. The more blogs the better, but make sure they are relates to each other. Don’t think that you could publish the same posts on them all, because search engines may consider the duplicate content. If you don’t have enough time, you could just skip this step and directly go to step 9.

9) Digital Art

Maybe you think that this step is also not very necessary too, so you just can skip it too. But don’t overlook it – digital art.

Try to add non-advertising graphics, pictures, photos etc. into your blog. Don’t need too much, just once a week is OK. These things will bring your blog to life, of course the content is still the King of your blog, and I don’t ask you to overshadow your content with graphics, but displaying graphics could add a little bit of spice to your blog. It is so much fun, and your readers may like your blog because your blog’s digital art.

A picture may speak louder than thousands of words. So try to choose graphics careful, and add some content like keywords with the graphic, this may also help to drive traffic to your blog, if you notice that Google has image search feature.
