5 Tips You Should Know About Blogging

5 Tips You Should Know About Blogging In last few days, I wrote some posts about blog, what I mean to say is that blogging is very fun and powerful, if you still don’t know think so, please read my posts 8 Reasons why we blog and 3 Reasons Why You Should Blog for your Business Boosting!, then you will find out why.

Well, if you have already read these two posts, you must want to join in on the blogging group. But before you get started, there is something you have to know about blog. There are millions of bloggers online posting every day. It is really a trend that since 1997 blogging got started and it has continued to grow quickly and steadily. Here are 5 tips I highly recommend you to know before you get started blogging.

1. You Can Blog For Free

Before you pay dollars for a hosting, you should know that there many free BSP (Blog Service Provider) out there, Yes, no charge at all, you could set up your own blog. For blog beginners, these BSP are great, when you are sophisticated in blogging, I recommend you to try these BSP. BSP are often well maintained however. They are very easy to use and offer several templates for you to use. Here are two some great BSP you could feel free to use, Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, MySpace.com, Windows Live Spaces etc.. 2. You Can Be Personal

Many times blog beginner don’t know what to blog, they only think that blog is a personal space, but they are afraid to make their posts personal in any way. The best bloggers just put themselves out there via their posts. They post what they think and what they feel on one topic. They may do so in a humorous manner or in a quite serious. Sometimes new bloggers are afraid to post their true thoughts and feelings because their blog will be commented on. The fact is however that not everybody will agree with your opinions, but you should let that hold you back. These are people who don’t personally know who you are, so their comments don’t matter so much anyway. Don’t be afraid to show your true feelings on your blog, a good blog need a voice, so you have to speak up, after all, that is what an online journal is all about.

3. Don’t Be Too Personal

Although it is good to be personal in your blog, but it is not so good to be too personal in how much you disclose about yourself.. For example, adding your phone number or address in a post or on your profile is not a good idea. You have to be smarter that only let people know things which you want them to know. For safety, you maybe won’t to post your last name either. When somebody has a lot of importation about you, it is very easy for them to victimize you through identity theft, harassment, or some others bad things. So, for safe don’t post really private information.

4. Never Use Real Names

When posting, and keeping it personal and real, there can be times in which other people in your own life come up in topic. Be careful including other people in your posts. First, never show their real names, this would be a huge mistake. Unless the person gives you permission to write about them, or you can’t do that. Something wrong will happen if you do so. If somebody you mention reads your blog, they may get mad that you are writing about them without their agreement. Even what you post is all truth, it could be seen as talking behind their back. Try to keep your posts about you or celebrities or other public people or things. Let everybody else business remain his own.

5. Keep It Fresh

It is very helpful to Keep Visitors Coming To Your Blog, and Build Your Blog Readership.

One of the most important things is you have to do as a blogger is to keep your blog fresh. It means that you have to post often and change things around when posting. If you want your readers stay interested in your blog, you have to post on different things. At least, post twice a week, people will become your blog fans, they will get into a habit of reading your posts, it would be even better if you post every day. Posting regularly could entertain your readers well. If you update only once a month, I am afraid nobody will remember to keep reading your posts and your traffic won’t promote too.
