A blog is just like a website, no traffic no money. Blog is one of the best ways of promoting your product or service, it is easy to install, easy to manage and easy to update. And search engines all love it too. But if there is no traffic, what that would be? Too horrible?
As a blogger, you have to learn how to drive traffic to your blog, today I’d like to share these, 5 tips to drive traffic to your blog, you just follow these 5 tips to learn techniques and start seeing long awaited sales.
1. Build a list of blog services to ping
There are many blog services you could ping, it means that you could notify these service that you have updated your blog. These services then will list your new posts and send traffic to you. I add a list of blog services to my wordpress blog, you could get a list by searching “blog ping list”, it should be enough to give first boost to your traffic.
2. Update your blog regularly
Search engines love regular updates. It seems that you could get targeted traffic from search engines if you post regularly. It means that you’d better update every day. But be careful not to update too many, it will harm your search engines position and get hits, usually don’t update more than 10.
4. Post in forums
Post in forums but don not spam them. Post something interesting and fresh, add a link to your own blog into it. Don’t try to post in any forum, for example, if you are selling shoes, just post in forums which about shoes, don’t post in car forums. Posting in forums could get one-way links, it is very good for search engine ranking, also don’t overdo it.
3. Submit to blog search engines
There are tons of search engines available on the Internet, which list only blogs. Only know Google? Not enough, you have to find at least 20 search engines. These blog search engines will send you targeted traffic, make sure write a good title and a good description for your blog, when submit your blog, so that people could easily find your blog and visit.
5. Add buttons to popular news readers
What is this? Well, there are many websites like yahoo or bloglines etc., which have a members area where you could select websites with RSS feeds to fetch the newest posts from different blogs. The way you could have the newest posts from let’s just say 50 blogs listed on one page. Add buttons to popular new readers to your blog, users could easily add your blog to their news reader members area.
Well, that would be enough to you? Well, just follow these 5 tips, and you will start seeing tons of traffic to your blog, and the long awaited sales will come in. By the way, when you win all of that, don’t forget to share your happiness with me
